You keep whatever job, invoicing and booking software you already run. A lot of garages buy Snap precisely because they are happy with the rest of their setup and only need a better way to share reports internally.

You capture it on the tablet, the diagnostic tool, or any phone. A photo of the underside, a printout from a fault-code reader saved as a PDF, a picture of a worn part. Snap files it automatically into a folder keyed to the vehicle registration, so the next person who needs it just searches the reg.

Everyone on your team that you give a seat to. Five staff seats are included, and extra seats are £2.50 a month each. The whole point is that the report does not get stuck on one technician phone or buried in a WhatsApp thread. It is in the reg folder, on any computer, the moment it is captured.

Yes. Pick the photos or PDFs and email them straight from Snap. They arrive as attachments from your workshop, and any reply comes back to you, not to us. It is the fastest way to send an assessor a damage pack or show a customer the worn part you have just photographed, without leaving the app.

Autera Snap is £19 per month, or £15 per month when you pay annually (£180 per year, saving £48). It includes 10 GB of storage and your staff seats. If you need more space you can add storage at any time.

Nothing is charged, because we never took a card to begin with. On day 15 the trial simply stops and the account waits for you. Your photos and documents are not deleted, so if you decide to subscribe a week later everything is exactly where you left it. To carry on without a break, add a card at any point during the trial from your billing page.

They stay. Cancelling puts the account into read-only for 60 days, so you and your team can still open, view and download every file you have filed. Restarting the subscription restores full access straight away. After the 60 days the data is removed, so download anything you want to keep before the window closes.

Video is the one thing that eats space quickly, so if you film jobs regularly you may want a top-up. No. A share link opens in any browser, on any phone, with no app and no login. They tap it in WhatsApp or their email and the photos, video and PDFs are simply there. You can revoke a link whenever you like, and you can see how many times it has been opened.

Yes. You pick the job, choose what you need, and Snap gives you a link to send by WhatsApp or email. It opens the camera on their phone with a short checklist, and there is no app and no account. What they send lands in that job folder automatically. They never choose a folder and are never shown one, so their photos cannot end up on the wrong car. You get an alert when they arrive, and anything a customer sent is marked as theirs in Documents so you can always tell it apart from what your own team shot.

Hearing the noise before the car comes in, so you are not booking a diagnostic to find out what it was. Recording the condition of a car before a courtesy car goes out, timestamped and fingerprinted. Getting tyre sizes or a dashboard warning light off someone who is standing next to the vehicle and you are not. Anything where a photo answers the question faster than a phone call.
